The resort consists of 499 guest rooms, a 64-acre nature reserve, the Rasa Ria Reserve, home to wildlife including long-tailed macaques and slow lorises, and home to an 18-hole championship golf course with picture-perfect views of Mt Kinabalu (a UNESCO World Heritage site).

We are looking for a Learning & Development Manager who will be responsible for organizing and monitoring training activities of the Hotel, particularly to ensure that said activities are in line with the hotel goals and objectives.

Job Summary

  • Experience in designing training curriculum and conduct stand up training
  • Prepare the arrival and departures of Task Force
  • Responsible for onboarding new employees and creating good employee experience
  • Conduct regular core learning programs
  • Conduct annual learning needs analysis
  • Manage learning and development budget
  • Mentor and coach operations staff as and when needed
  • Track and monitor learning and development objectives, ensure they are met or exceed expectations
  • Attuned with learning and development trends, practices and policies
  • Be an assessor for the learning and development program
  • Partner with the employees and relevant committee team/s for employee engagement program to increase engagement scores
  • Works harmoniously and professionally with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Executes all other related tasks.
Requirement
  • Degree / Diploma in behavioral science / psychology / human resource / hotel management / relevant qualification
  • At least 1 year experience in the same role, ideally in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
  • Oral and written English proficiency. Ability to converse in local language / dialect / foreign language is desirable
  • Strategic, analytical and have solid business acumen with a working knowledge of resort systems and operations
  • Well-articulated and can interact with all levels of external and internal stakeholders
  • Self-starter, team-builder, goals-oriented, tactful, sensitive to employees\' needs and a positive role model.
