Job Purpose

The GBS organization consist of a service management organization and a global organized delivery organization. This role is part of the service delivery organization for facilities. The service delivery organization is the interface between AkzoNobel and the facility service provider.

The real estate & facilities organization, a part of GBS, delivers the real estate, facilities management, office projects and services for AkzoNobel, managing a portfolio in excess of 1 million square meters of space. One of our success factors is to ensure that we deliver workplace environments at or below benchmark costs.

The cluster process delivery lead facilities is the face of facilities towards the locations and at the same time representing the locations interest within GBS. The CPDL is responsible for service delivery at location level. The CPDL is responsible for managing outsourced service providers in the cluster, ensuring high levels of standardization in delivery. The CPDL is the first point of contact for real estate and facility needs for the cluster. The CPDL translates customer needs to either facility services or real estate projects. Most important contacts are AkzoNobel site management leads and supplier site management leads.

Key Accountabilities

The cluster process delivery lead facilities is responsible for:
Client relationship management

  • Drive and adhere to the Safety & Security culture and standards
  • Have regular performance review meetings with customers based on KPI/SLA/OLA reporting
  • Have regular meetings with suppliers at site level.
  • Actively pursue, interpret and specify customer needs
  • First point of contact and escalation for complaints and issues in the cluster. Escalations from the location and the suppliers.
  • Communications at site level
  • Link practical client questions to overall stakeholder policies at global level
  • Understand developments in the cluster short and long term
  • Timely indication and reporting of performance issues with suppliers
  • Approving changes within the framework for the cluster.
  • Educate the organization on roles and responsibilities in the end to end process
  • Drive resolution of cross functional process issues / service improvements within the GBS organization
  • Identify improvement opportunities for GBS operations or the customer processes
  • Define and structure /analyze issues to set the basis for problem solving
Financial
  • Validate and manage facility budgets
  • Identify cot saving opportunities
Projects (office build outs, infra and building works)
  • Identifying needs for projects as structural improvements
  • Integral management of facility related projects
  • Prioritizing projects in the cluster
Experience
  • Bachelor degree with professional with 5-10 years of experience in facilities in a diverse geographical and cultural spread
  • Experience in management of third party service providers
  • Service delivery management experience
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing/ process industry
  • Individual must demonstrate ability to act autonomously
  • Operate with energy, conviction, commitment and business leadership to drive standardization and ensure clear and robust decisions.
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills, able to identify and structure issues, run accurate (also statistical) analyses and synthesize recommendations
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma
