CMDB Administrator (ServiceNow)

Level:

L2 (3-5 years experience)

We are seeking a

CMDB Administrator

to support our client in banking industry, in managing and maintaining Configuration Management Database (CMDB) operations within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in configuration management, data integrity, and IT infrastructure awareness across platforms such as OS, network, and storage.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute

Technology Obsolescence

related activities. Maintain and update

Configuration Items (CIs)

and their relationships within the CMDB. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through regular reviews and audits. Support

Discovery

,

Normalization

, and

Data Certification

processes in CMDB. Collaborate with technical teams (OS, Network, Middleware, Storage) to maintain reliable configuration data. Develop and maintain

VB / Excel Macros

for data processing and reporting automation. Contribute to continuous improvement of CMDB processes, standards, and documentation.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in

CMDB Administration

or

Configuration Management

. Good understanding of

CI data classes

,

attribute inheritance

, and

relationship tables

. Knowledge in

ServiceNow CMDB

,

ITIL processes

, and

discovery tools

. Familiar with infrastructure components such as

OS platforms, Network, Storage, and Middleware

. Proficient in

VB scripting

and

Excel Macros

. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and coordination skills.
