Job Description

1. Developed and debugged new CNC Programs, revised and enhanced existing CNC Programs for all types of CNC machines. Configured and maintained companywide DNC System.
2. Plan machining operations by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
3. Programming mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs
4. Makes calculations for programming including where materials should be cut.
5. Translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program.
6. Communicates with Supervisor who will use the programs.
7. Checks completed programs by running simulations or tests.
8. Prepares geometric layout of designs using proper software.
9. Determines sequence of operations in a program.
10. Analyses drawings, design data in order to calculate correct part dimension for machines, tool selection, machine speeds & feed rates.
11. Occasionally set up and operate CNC equipment as needed.
12. Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
13. Use precision measuring instruments including micrometres and callipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts produced.
14. Read Instrumentation and gauges to accurately measure dimensions on parts being machined within specified tolerance.
15. Makes improvements to set up times for a task and contouring of complex shapes.
16. Monitors all programs to make sure they follow blueprint instructions and safely and successfully complete the task.
17. Complies with all safety rules and regulations & wear proper safety equipment and comply with company safety rules at all times.
18. Any other job as assigned by the management from time to time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
