KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Primary responsibilities are to provide commercial/economics support and analysis, delivering value to the business through an end-to-end process.
  • Focus on business partnering, adding values & competitive edge in Business Performance Management, Strategic Commercial & Planning decisions.
  • Drive the business planning process, with a clear value focus and understanding of lifecycle outlook and link this to the performance targets.
  • Formulation and development of the commercial strategy implementation plan (including negotiation strategies and tactics).
  • Provide support to the COO to secure agreements and resolutions on commercial issues, challenges and disputes with external parties (JV partners, Stakeholders) from commercial framing, options analysis, stakeholder mapping and engagements to negotiations and closures.
  • Ensuring that the organization complies with contractual obligations as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Interface with the various functions across the SEB organization to ensure the business requirements are negotiated and incorporated.
  • Enhance the development and implementation of consistency and best practices for negotiations of commercial terms and conditions to be incorporated into contracts.
  • Support growth opportunities in terms of new ventures and/or acquisition/divestment of assets and provide input to new contracts and contract renewals/extensions with affiliates and other third parties.
  • Lead drafting of the value capture to ensure the implementation plan is in place to deliver the deal value (including the identified upsides).

  • Analytical Skills: Possess analytical skills to assess market trends, competitors, and internal processes, helping in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Commercial roles often involve negotiating deals, contracts, and agreements with suppliers, partners, or customers. Therefore, candidates with negotiation and contract management skills are desirable.
  • Proactive Approach: Proactively identifying and driving improvements in commercial and financial areas.
  • Assertiveness: Demonstrates independence, assertiveness and courage in addressing challenging issues in a constructive manner.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated with an ability to contribute effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to network effectively across internal business interfaces and collaborate with staff of varying disciplines and seniority levels.
  • Cultural Adaptability: Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, in economic and social transition with various complexities and uncertainties, including political, governmental and non-commercial counter parties.
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • A degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Law or Engineering is preferred with minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience.
