Food Preparation & Cooking
Assist in basic food preparation including cutting, chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
Prepare mise en place for daily operations as instructed by Assistant Chef or Head Chef.
Assist in the cooking process such as grilling, sauteing, boiling, steaming, and frying under supervision.
Support plating and presentation of dishes to ensure consistency and quality.
Kitchen Operations
Follow standard recipes and instructions provided by seniors chefs.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety standards.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment properly.
Adhere to portion control and minimize food wastage.
Hygiene & Safety
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation and kitchen areas.
Follow strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety guidelines (HACCP standards).
Store food items properly, ensuring FIFO (First In, First Out) system is practiced.
Label and date all food items correctly.
Teamwork & Support
Assist Chef de Partie and other kitchen team members during busy service periods.
Cooperate and communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow.
Participate in training to develop cooking techniques and culinary knowledge.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Chef or Head Chef.
