Grand Swiss-Belhotel Melaka is seeking a dedicated and motivated
Commis Chef
to join our dynamic culinary team. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the culinary profession, committed to delivering exceptional quality and eager to grow within an international hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of all food items according to hotel standards.
Ensure all ingredients are properly stored, labelled and handled in line with hygiene and safety practices.
Maintain a clean, organized and hygienic workstation at all times.
Follow recipes, portion controls and plating guidelines as directed by senior chefs.
Safely operate kitchen equipment and comply with all kitchen procedures.
Assist in receiving, checking and properly storing food supplies and inventory.
Uphold Grand Swiss-Belhotel Melaka's culinary standards, ensuring consistent food quality and presentation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Diploma in
Culinary Arts
or equivalent is highly preferred.
Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations.
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
Strong teamwork, discipline and willingness to learn.
Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Prior kitchen experience is an added advantage.
