Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of food according to standard recipes and instructions from senior chefs
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet hotel/restaurant standards
Follow proper food handling, hygiene, and safety procedures at all times
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas
Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating kitchen supplies and ingredients
Support Commis I, Demi Chef, and Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations
Minimise food wastage and ensure proper portion control
Comply with all company policies, SOPs, and health regulations
Attend daily briefings and training sessions as required
Requirements
Minimum
1-2 years of experience
in a hotel or restaurant kitchen
Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment
Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Preferred Qualifications
Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts or related field
Experience in hotel kitchen operations is an advantage
