Job Description


Job Purpose: Provides strategic support for SapuraOMV\'s Communications, Human Rights, Grievance Mechanism and Social Responsibility projects. Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Assist Communications Manager with building positive media relations and favourable brand mileage for SapuraOMV amongst all stakeholders. Works with and consult appropriate internal staff to gather stories to promote departments\' achievements and milestones. Prepare all News Update material inclusive of artwork, design, write-up and publishing it online. Assist Communications Manager in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on all Communications\' social platforms i.e. SharePoint site (Intranet), LinkedIn and website and act as the focal point. Assist Communications Manager with planning and executing SapuraOMV\'s internal and external events/ projects. Assist Communications Manager in executing communications during crisis to internal and external stakeholders (media relations). Custodian for SapuraOMV\'s Brand - Ensure all branding items are aligned with SapuraOMV\'s brand and positioning, as directed by Communications Manager. Assist Communications Manager in monitoring Communications\' KPIs and ensures that monthly budget spending is kept in check. Update and archive all reports/news/written work for the Communications department. Raise Purchase Requisition (PR) and work with Procurement Department to follow up, review samples, fill in, and complete the Tender Evaluation during the bidding process up to the Award Recommendations. Prepare the Exclusion to Tendering (ETT) document - requisition paper of the Procurement Department principles, process roles and responsibilities including approval authorities for ETT. Prepare Management Paper (MP) for approval, for Social Responsibility projects which were approved by the Board of Directors (BOD) for the year. Person-In-Charge for Communications\' payment processing, from vendor creation up to payment approval. The focal point for the Human Rights and Community Relation Officer (CRO) for the Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM). Conduct induction session for Human Rights & Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM) for the new hires. Person-In-Charge for the inventory monitoring of the Corporate Merchandise items. Any other duties as reasonably directed by Communications Manager. Requirements: Candidate must possess a minimum of Degree in Legal/ Communications /Administration or equivalent qualification in related field. Minimum of 3 years\' experience (minimum Degree) or 5 years\' experience (minimum Diploma) or 10 years\' experience (minimum Professional Certificate). Good knowledge of Oil and Gas industry is preferable. Work with very minimal supervision/unsupervised. Tactful and meticulous. Able to work independently and decisively. Able to analyze data and make recommendations to Communications Manager for review. Able to do administrative work. Able to communicate with people at all levels. Able to work on tight deadlines and/or under pressure. Flexible and adaptable to fast changing environment. Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Familiar with the media fraternity. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Location: SapuraOMV Office, Tower 2, KLCC, Kuala Lumpur.
