This role is responsible is responsible for developing and producing engaging, clear and interesting copywriting for a variety of channels; to brainstorm ideas, create concepts and develop messaging according to different communication goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation & Copywriting
+ Develop, write, and translate creative content in Chinese for various platforms including websites, newsletters, brochures, campaign materials, videos, and social media.
+ Craft persuasive and emotionally resonant stories that inspire engagement and donor action while aligning with World Vision's tone and values.
+ Produce accurate and high-quality copy that meets project objectives, deadlines, and audience expectations.
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging reflects organizational goals and brand direction.
Translation, Editing & Quality Control
+ Translate key content between English and Chinese to ensure language accuracy and cultural relevance.
+ Proofread and edit all written materials to maintain consistency, clarity, and adherence to WVM's editorial and brand standards.
+ Support quality assurance for Chinese-language materials across departments and campaigns.
Creative Collaboration & Campaign Support
+ Work collaboratively with designers, marketing and project owners to conceptualize and execute integrated communication plans.
+ Contribute ideas for new storytelling formats, campaign slogans, and content themes.
+ Provide Chinese copywriting support for key campaigns, donor communications, press materials, and corporate engagement collaterals.
Digital & Social Media Communications
+ Adapt and optimize copy for digital platforms including website articles, social media posts, eDMs, and video scripts.
+ Support digital engagement efforts by ensuring Chinese-language content is engaging, timely, and relevant to online audiences.
+ Monitor public sentiment and engagement trends to refine content strategies.
Research, Trends & Learning
+ Stay current with creative, social media, and communication trends within both commercial and non-profit sectors.
+ Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions for campaigns and brand storytelling.
+ Support continual improvement by exploring new ways to tell powerful stories that connect audiences with World Vision's impact.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
+ Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, Journalism, Chinese Language, or related field.
+ Minimum 2-5 years of experience in copywriting, editorial work, or communications.
+ Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in Chinese, with ability to translate from English.
+ Strong understanding of digital content trends and storytelling for different platforms.
+ Meticulous attention to detail, able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
+ Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English required.
+ Passion for creative storytelling that drives awareness and positive social change.
+ Familiarity with non-profit or humanitarian communication is an advantage.
