A global leader in sustainability is looking for a talented candidate for a Communications Manager, APAC job in the team in Malaysia. About the Communications Manager, APAC Role:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Communications, you will support communications efforts in the APAC region. Your focus will be on integrated communications across various channels, with an emphasis on media relations, reputation management, and building awareness across the APAC markets. Your role will involve implementing an effective communications strategy that enhances the visibility and reputation of the organisation as a leading sustainability organisation. Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Communications to execute communication initiatives and develop relevant communication materials tailored to different stakeholders in the APAC region
• Coordinate and facilitate the dissemination of communications and technical materials for APAC, specifically for key countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, India, and China, utilising both traditional and digital media platforms for distribution
• Plan and execute media and communication campaigns to raise awareness about the organisation\xe2\x80\x99s and industry\xe2\x80\x99s goals and values across APAC
• Collect, organise, and draft information to enable prompt and accurate responses to media inquiries and handle crisis or issue management effectively
• Develop an understanding of the media landscape in the region and establish positive relationships and engagement with key media outlets
• Research, identify and collate key materials of communications for presentations and building a database of communications assets
• Address any key inquiries incoming from stakeholders, external parties, and the media in APAC
• In working closely with the events team, you will provide communication support for regional roadshows and workshops organised by the APAC team to enhance stakeholder engagement
• Support internal communication needs to effectively convey organisational initiatives and projects to employees and stakeholders

The successful Communications Manager, APAC has prior experience in media relations, corporate writing, and regional exposure to other countries. Key Requirements:

• At least a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Mass Communications or relevant fields
• Minimum of six years\' working experience with sound experience in PR/media relations/corporate communications
• Strong understanding of the media landscapes in key APAC markets, including relationships with key media players
• Strong organisational and communication skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritise multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
• Familiarity with various forms of communication channels (print, audio, video, social, etc.)
• Ability to work in a multi-stakeholder and international environment
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Professional fluency in English is a must with excellent communication skills and ability to speak other local languages
• Goal-oriented and organised individual with business acumen and process-oriented mindset
