Teach For Malaysia is an independent, not-for-pro\xef\xac\x81t organisation on a mission to empower our nation

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
Teach for Malaysia is seeking a dedicated and proactive individual for the position of Community
Learning and Events, Senior Associate. The ideal candidate wil be responsible for
conceptualizing, organizing, and implementing educational community events. This role is crucial
to our goal of fostering inclusive, engaging, and educational environments that inspire the larger
Malaysian community.
MISSION FOR THE ROLE
In this pivotal role, the Community Learning and Events, Senior Associate serves as the
torchbearer for community engagement and learning within Teach for Malaysia. As a catalyst for
change, the individual wil harness the power of educational events and initiatives to create
impactful connections, foster inclusivity, and drive forward the message of Teach for Malaysia.
The Senior Associate wil have comprehensive oversight of the planning, organization, and
execution of community-based learning events and workshops. They wil be the linchpin, ensuring
alignment between Teach for Malaysia\'s strategic objectives and community learning outcomes.
Beyond organizing, the individual wil actively engage with the heart of the community, gleaning
insights to shape future initiatives, and ensuring our events resonate deeply and meaningful y.
This role requires not only a logistical mind but also a passionate heart, as the Senior Associate
champions our mission, bringing our vision to life through vibrant community events and
interactive learning experiences.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, organize, and execute community-based learning events, conferences, workshops,
and other special events that promote education and community involvement.

Col aborate with different stakeholders such as educators, students, parents, and other
community members to identify learning needs and interests.
\xe2\x97\x8f
Develop and implement effective strategies to encourage community participation and
engagement in learning and development programs.
\xe2\x97\x8f
Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, partners, and community members
regarding event details, logistics, and other matters.
\xe2\x97\x8f
Col aborate with the marketing team to promote events and engagements and ensure
effective communication about events and engagements to al stakeholders.

Measure the success of each event and engagement and provide reports on relevant
indicators
\xe2\x97\x8f
Stay updated with the latest trends in community engagement and learning and propose
innovative ideas for effective community events and engagements.
\xe2\x97\x8f
Coordinate with the wider Teach for Malaysia team to ensure alignment of community
engagements with our organization\'s strategic goals and vision.

Facilitate workshops and other training activities, as required by other program teams.

Achieve a minimum 80% attendance for al community events with at least 70% of
participants reporting enhanced understanding or passion for education post-event.

Ensure 100% of events align with Teach for Malaysia\'s strategic objectives and result in a
20% annual increase in community engagement with the organization\'s initiatives.

Introduce and implement a minimum of 6 innovative event formats or community
engagement strategies annual y with over 70% positive feedback from participants.

Execute events within 90% of the al ocated budget and maintain a 90% on-time start and
