Lendlease Malaysia is currently seeking a Compliance Analyst to oversee strategic and operational compliance management across the Asia region. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the effective implementation of compliance measures that align with Lendlease\'s business objectives.

Reporting to the General Counsel and Head of Compliance, Asia, this role is responsible for the implementation and managing of compliance policies, strategies and programs to align and comply with organisational and legislative objectives and requirements. Your duties include but are not limited to:

Review and enhance the Compliance Framework for each country, covering various business areas such as Development, Construction, Fund Management, and Asset Operations, ensuring effective monitoring and adherence to contracted obligations, as well as timely completion of compliance activities.

To review and maintain Compliance policies, procedures, plans, flow charts and process maps to support the Compliance Framework. (such as Anti-Bribery & Corruption Policies, Anti-Money Laundering and Document Management Procedures).

Oversee the due diligence process for the business on Anti Money Laundering, Bribery and Corruption matters, including the performing of screening, review and resolution of cases.

Draft and prepare fund compliance reports for all the funds in Asia for submission to the respective Board of the funds.

Develop and establish processes to ensure compliance with the Personal Data Protection laws in each country of operation. To provide guidance and advice on Personal Data Protection/ Privacy matters .

Develop and oversee a system for uniform handling of breaches by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures and thereafter, recommend corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future to the business.

Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.

Supporting any compliance related work that is outside of Asia Region.

Assist and support General Counsel Asia in monitoring compliance with Lendlease policies such as Conflict of Interest, Gifts & Entertainment, Employee Purchase Transaction, Alcohol consumption and maintaining appropriate registers for any declarations made.

Assist General Counsel, Asia with the continued implementation, engagement and training on Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery & Corruption to create awareness.

To be considered for this role:

Experience in a compliance role and/or knowledge of construction, property development, investment management or retail sectors advantageous but not essential.

Aptitude in implementation of compliance techniques, methodologies and relevant legislations.

Good interpersonal, problem solving, technical and analytical skills to support the management and implementation of the risk and compliance operations and to facilitate decision making, manage expectations, influence and build relationships with key stakeholders.

A subject matter expert who demonstrates the ability to work on complex business issues requiring in-depth analysis and provide solutions and a \xe2\x80\x9crange of alternatives\xe2\x80\x9d which solve problems and add value.

Relevant qualifications in Business, Risk & Compliance Management, Finance, Legal and/or a related technical discipline, combined with at least 3 years of post-qualifications relevant experience.

A strong contributor who is independent and able to influence and persuade others.

Able to challenge the status quo and be inquisitive about the risks the businesses face.

Strong understanding and proven track-record of implementation and management of compliance related procedures in Singapore, China, Japan and Malaysia. Relevant experience from other jurisdictions is an advantage.
