BAT KL IS LOOKING FOR A COMPLIANCE ANALYST

SENIORITY LEVEL: Non- management

FUNCTION: GBS Legal and External Affairs

SALARY RANGE: Market salary + Excellent benefits + Market leading bonus

LOCATION: Sunway Geo, Kuala Lumpur

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role is responsible for assisting end markets with their compliance to BAT\'s Standards of Business Conduct. This would involve monitoring and reporting on their progress on compliance Key Performance Indicators (KPI), suggesting corrective actions, providing supporting training and documentation, as well as presenting progress, issues, and opportunities to management. This role is also responsible to provide guidance to stakeholders on legal compliance topics as well as conducting and controls reviews.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• ongoing sanctions screening
• Third Party Anti-Financial Crime risk assessment, including company structure deep dive analysis
• Policy Management
• Gifts & Entertainment (G&E) requests
• Contract Management, including operational KPI
• Reviewing and clearing conflicts of interest submissions
• Supporting global training and other Standards of Business Conduct campaigns, including fielding and remediating user support queries, monitoring and reporting progress
• Providing End Markets with process guidance on G&E, policy management, contract management, anti-financial crime risk assessment, conflicts of interest, and other risk areas as required
• Maintaining procedures and guidance documents related to G&E, policy management, contract management, anti-financial crime risk assessment, conflicts of interest, and other risk areas as required, including systems documentation
• Conducting process and systems training
• Acting as Super User for legal compliance systems, including being the 2nd line of user support to End Market users
• Participate in initiatives to simplify compliance processes and associated supporting systems.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Experience Required

• Engaging with a large number of stakeholders across multiple cultures
• Using data interrogation, management, analytics and reporting tools and analytical methods
• Some relevant experience in law, ethics, organizational business, or finance
• Participating in the introduction of new process and/or systems (initiatives/projects) - specifically delivering business requirements, conducting user acceptance testing, training, and documentation

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

• Business Engagement skills
• Ability to deliver training to small and large audiences
• Business analysis

• Working in cross-functional work teams
• Communication skills
• Skilled in use of analytical tools including database interrogating tools (i.e. SQL, MS Excel, others)
