CONSTRUCTION MANAGER (SITE BASED)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee and manage day-to-day construction activities at site to ensure the project is executed in line with schedule, cost, quality, and safety targets. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams to ensure proper execution of piping, structural, and equipment installation works. Lead weekly site progress meetings and report updates to Project Manager or Client as required. Review construction drawings, specifications, and work packages to ensure constructability and resolve technical issues at site. Monitor construction progress, productivity, and resource usage and implement corrective actions where needed. Ensure strict compliance to safety protocols and statutory regulations. Assist in project planning, scheduling, and manpower planning activities. Review and validate site inspections, method statements, and quality records. Manage and mentor site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractor teams. Liaise with QA/QC, HSE, and commissioning teams for seamless project delivery.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 10 years of working experience in construction management of industrial, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects. Proven experience in managing piping, structural, and equipment installation works. Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills. Familiar with construction drawings, technical standards, and project management practices. Able to work independently at site and under tight deadlines. Proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD, and MS Office tools. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working on EPC or turnkey construction projects. Familiar with Design Codes and standards, CIDB, and local construction regulations. Valid CIDB Green Card and Safety certifications are an added advantage.
