Area SEA department is part of DNV\'s Energy Systems APAC Region operations and holds an important and strategic position for us in the marketplace, both locally and globally. We hold a diverse portfolio of customers in Singapore and other countries in the Region, delivering services on Market & Risk (M&R) within the onshore and offshore oil, gas process, renewables, wind industries.

We are seeking a dynamic Risk Advisory Consultant to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will work closely with experts from around the world on a variety of challenging projects for global major clients in the oil & gas industry. You will be expected to balance multiple projects within expectations and ensure quality of deliverables. You may also be required to travel to other DNV and client locations globally to work with various project teams.

You will also be engaged in the business development process where you will be involved in the preparation of competitive tenders and bid for projects globally.

• Support as local contact point / project engineer to assist Project Managers for projects being delivered in Thailand;
• Develop and learn to support delivery of technical safety studies, such as:
• Hazard Identification (HAZID);
• Hazard and Operability (HAZOP);
• Fire Hazards Analysis (FHA);
• Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA);
• Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD);
• Workshop scribe (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, FMECA, etc.); and
• Operational & Asset Risk Management.
• Networking within the DNV organization to utilize the global skill\xe2\x80\x99s pool for the growth of the Region;

Position Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Process Engineering, or related engineering discipline;
• Recent graduate or up to 7 years of experience in oil and gas industry, preferable in safety and risk engineering;
• Proven quantitative and numerical skills, ability in Office 365 (Excel, Words, PPT, etc.); and
• Some experience of practical industrial work in design safety engineering, plant operations or process design will be considered an added advantage.
• Strong command of spoken and written English .
• Technical expertise on safety methodologies (QRA, FSA), asset risk management, RAM analysis, Enterprise Risk Management, CFD (FLACS, KFX, etc.);
• Strong command of spoken and written English;
• Experience in the Safety & Risk area in the Maritime, Oil/Gas Industry, Renewables or Wind industries;
• Strong communication and presentation skills in initial approaches for projects; and
• Highly committed to project delivery.
