ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role is part of GBS Finance Team.

This position is both a Continuous Improvement (CI) manager and Project Manager for R2R related to MDSM projects. This role drives and manages the implementation of simplification and automation uplifts and ensures that all relevant documentation, engagement with key stakeholders and business readiness activities are coordinated and completed in full while managing the relevant risks and controls related to those initiatives. Where projects have cross-functional impacts, the project manager identifies and manages the various stakeholders impacted by the project.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• Coordinating the efforts of relevant teams for each initiative \xe2\x80\x93 this includes acquiring business requirements, testing, discussions with relevant people (in Business Controls Team, IT, GPE\xe2\x80\x99s), training, and other organizational change management activities. Where cross functional impacts are identified, these teams will be engaged to ensure all requirements are appropriately captured.
• Engaging relevant stakeholders to progress the initiatives \xe2\x80\x93 within and outside of Global Business Services.
• Supervising and resolving progress bottlenecks
• Managing timelines and reporting on progress
• Raising issues to Evolution team
• Supporting the Continuous Improvement Lead in driving CI initiatives for Record to Report (R2R).
• Support the CIL in facilitating focus groups by providing metrics, data, opportunities and solving problems to improve the operational working across the R2R scope.
• Performing UAT tests and quality checks on test scripts and UAT outcomes performed by the business

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Possess 6-10 years of proven experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
• Functional understanding and SAP application of Transactional Finance
• Preferably having knowledge of other R2R processes
• Experience in leading teams (3-5 people) and managing various stakeholders within / outside the GBS organization
• Meticulous, analytical, proactive, and can work under pressure with minimum supervision
• Able to drive projects and process improvements and manage global partners remotely
• Understand the impact of the accounting process and practices and any changes in accounting standards
• Experience in project management will be an added advantage
• Minimum Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Accounting & Finance. Professional accountancy qualification i.e., CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA will be an added advantage.
