Job Summary*

\xc2\xb7 To support the Corporate, Commercial & Institutional Banking (\xe2\x80\x9cCCIB\xe2\x80\x9d) Legal Team on day to day legal, operational and administration matters as a member of the Group Commercial Legal Centre of Excellence based in Kuala Lumpur. The role will have a specific focus on paralegal tasks.
\xc2\xb7 To provide additional legal, operational and administrative support to other Group and Country Legal teams where required.
\xc2\xb7 To promote a culture and practice of good conduct of business and adherence to a standards within the Group
Responsibilities*
\xc2\xb7 To support legal, operational and administrative tasks for the CCIB Business and Legal Team and Group Commercial Legal.
\xc2\xb7 To review, draft and validate NDAs and other ancillary client documentation to ensure they meet the Group\xe2\x80\x99s policies and standards and applicable law. The scope of the role is global and will cover each of the CCIB Business and Product areas.
\xc2\xb7 To review client lending documentation to ensure that it meets the Group\xe2\x80\x99s policies and standards, including against internal checklists and liaising with CCIB Business and Legal Teams in relation to the same.
\xc2\xb7 To assist with client contractual queries from the CCIB Business and Legal Teams, including contract reviews and research, risk assessments and the preparation of advice and reports.
\xc2\xb7 To collaborate with and assist other legal teams across the Group to ensure appropriate overall matter management, including addressing product-specific considerations and local law requirements. Where external counsel is appointed, to support the management of the engagement.
\xc2\xb7 To provide stakeholders with accurate and timely information and advice regarding the status of contract matters and other matter reporting.
\xc2\xb7 To assist with continuous improvement initiatives in relation to the contract process, workflow, stakeholder guidance, playbooks and templates.
\xc2\xb7 To keep up to date with relevant Group policies and standards and applicable law.
\xc2\xb7 To support on team administration tasks.
\xc2\xb7 Responsible for adhering to the Group Contracts Policy, applicable product Legal DOIs and any CCIB Compliance policies and frameworks / playbooks relating to specified client activity.
