: ?To assist in the preparation, administration, and management of contracts, cost estimation, tendering, and procurement to ensure the successful execution of construction and development projects within budget and compliance standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Tendering and Procurement. Prepare tender documents, Bill of Quantities (BQ), and Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
Evaluate tenders, quotations, and subcontractor proposals.
Assist in negotiation and awarding of contracts to vendors, consultants, and subcontractors.
Monitor contract execution and compliance with terms.
Support Extension of Time (EOT) applications and final account closing.
Track project costs, including monthly progress claims and certifications.
Documentation and record keeping. Prepare and maintain all contract documents, variation orders (VO), and claims.
Document site meetings, contractual matters, and communications with stakeholders.
Ensure proper filing and record maintenance for audit and reference purposes.
Cost control and budgeting. Assist in cost estimation and project budgeting.
Track expenditure vs. budget throughout project lifecycle.
Prepare cost reports and analysis for management.
Coordinate with site teams, consultants, and suppliers for smooth workflow and timely deliveries.
Identify potential cost risks, disputes, or delays for early mitigation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related field.
2-4 years of experience in contract or QS roles, preferably in property development or construction industry.
Familiar with pre- and post-contract administration.
Knowledge of CIDB guidelines, PAM & PWD (JKR) contract forms is a plus.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Able to multitask and work under pressure.
Good negotiation and communication skills (verbal & written).
Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, CostX, or related QS software.
