SCOPE OF SERVICES:

1. Site support for deployment of Smart Meter:

• To strategy and plan the deployment area and its schedule for smart meter rollout project.
• To work with AMI vendor for installation of Access Point and Relay and ensure the AMI RF network is ready at designated area prior to the deployment of smart meter.
• Liaise with all pertinent departments within and external for any related operation works.
• To provide technical assistance and experience sharing of implementation of smart meter with Retail staff especially new initiatives related to meter replacement, new meter features, new process flow, Head-End system etc.
• To lead and support technical matters faced by operation teams especially on power theft cases.
• To investigate reports of faulty/damaged AMI equipment that included smart meter and perform the necessary technical troubleshooting.
• Download metering data & perform analysis, trend tracking and reporting to management.
• To handle and resolve customer enquiries in a professional manner.

2. Smart Meter System Integration Work:

• To conduct testing for enhancement of smart meter features.
• To coordinate with AMI vendor, ICT team and Retail team to ensure that the new features are properly integrated with the Head-End system, as well as implementing the appropriate process flow.

3. Procurement and Inventory:

• To procure materials and/or services that are needed for deployment of smart meter.
• To monitor and handle smart meter related stocks and asset management.

4. To execute any tasks assigned by line supervisor and superior from time to time in supporting the daily operation and to achieve the departmental, company or corporate targets.

QUALIFICATION:

Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Working experience on implementation of communication hardware & system would be an advantage.

SKILLS:

• Technical knowledge of AMI (hardware & software)
• Test & evaluate relevant/new metering & communication technologies.
• Able to prepare technical & functional specifications.
• Working knowledge of different types of energy meters.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently, see all sides of an issue will make me a great asset to the Unit/Department/Company.
• Knowledge and competence in required technical aspects.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Power Point).
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision as well as in a team, proactive and self-confident, self-motivated, positive attitude, flexible and responsive to any changes.
