  • To coordinate the strategy and execution of social investment program for Project Affected Community.
  • To develop and implement social management plan and strategies to meet the specific needs of transmission line projects.
  • To communicate with Resident Offices, District Offices and other relevant agencies in social initiatives collaboration programs to benefit the affected community.
  • To plays an important role in engaging the communities and understanding their needs and concerns.
  • To lead logistic arrangement in the execution of community engagement for Project Affected Community and social investment program initiated by Project Team.
  • To receive grievances from the community and escalate to Stakeholder/Grievance Management team.
  • Spokesperson on behalf of the project team in community engagement.
  • To manage issues related to the local community at the project site.
  • To coordinate with Agriculture Department on the agriculture collaboration program for the community.
  • To focus on long term sustainability by integrating social considerations into project planning, implementation and monitoring.
  • To ensure that the community benefits are maximized, social risks are minimized, and legacy impacts are addressed responsibly.
  • Ensure transmission line projects adhere to the International Standard - Hydropower Sustainability Standard (HSS) and to incorporate ESG functions as part of transmission line projects continuous improvement process throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Any other tasks related to work as assigned by line manager / project team.
THINKING ENVIRONMENT & CHALLENGES (PROBLEM-SOLVING):
  • Managing the diverse and conflicting interests of different stakeholders, especially when balancing project goals with community needs.
  • Dealing with cultural differences and ensuring that communication is respectful and effective across diverse groups.
  • Understand the cultural and social dynamics of affected communities, manage potential conflicts and find mutually acceptable solutions.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of local and international statutory requirements, leading engagements with external stakeholders to ensure timely acquisition of permits and approvals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements, implementing best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE (KNOW-HOW):
  • Any recognized bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Business Administration, Environmental Science, Project Management or other related discipline.
  • Min. 1 - 5 years of working experience.
  • Experience in social management, community relations and communication engagement are an added advantage.
  • Adapt multi-tasking, scheduling, handling simultaneous projects.
