SCOPE OF SERVICES:

• To perform and manage geological works necessary for preliminary, initiation and concept phase of hydropower development.
• To develop geological scope of works/terms of reference, specifications, requirements, cost estimation and budget.
• To ensure all deliverables by the Contractors geological works are in accordance with the specified standards and requirements.
• To conduct site identification, inspection, and verification; carry out geological mapping independently and interpretation on field geological data.
• To liaise with site investigation contractors, owners\' engineers, engineering consultants, SEB\'s internal and external stakeholders in executing the initiation phase and concept phase of hydropower development
• To review and comment on Geotechnical submissions by the contractors/ consultants, and to some extent able to write Geotechnical Reports if necessary.
• Perform risk identification/assessment and provide mitigation actions.
• Coach and mentor junior Hydro professionals.
• Ensure contractors, consultants and other stakeholders comply to the HSSE and SOP requirement.
• Proactive in Project Delivery Excellence, Digitalisation and Commercial Excellence.

THINKING ENVIRONMENT & CHALLENGES (PROBLEM-SOLVING):

• Manage and communicate with key project stakeholders: - both internal (eg. Business, Hydro AO, C&P, L&W, Legal, Finance, etc.) and external (eg. Consultants, Contractors, relevant Government Agencies/Authorities, etc.)
• Adapt to any project changes and conform to the latest requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
• Must demonstrate high learning agility to not only be knowledgeable of technical aspects of projects but also other key non-technical aspects (eg. commercial, ESG, sustainability etc.).

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE (KNOW-HOW):

• Degree in Science Geology with minimum 6 to 8 years geotechnical engineering experience.
• Experience in relation to hydropower geotechnical engineering will be an added advantage.
