• To advise and provide support to Sarawak Energy on site identification, inspection and verification by review and carry out independent geological mapping and interpretation on geological data.
• Providing geological information and support to the construction work and resolving geological issue by working together with Geology Team and Engineer.
• Technical supervision and on-site contract supervision of the geotechnical investigation works for the project sites.
• Monitoring the site investigations and laboratory testing programme and working with the Contractor to ensure that the services are performed in accordance with good technical practice.
• Execute and coordinate planning, budgeting, task performance and monitoring of development progress by Contractor.
• To review and provide input on the engineering geology/geotechnical submissions by the Contractor/Consultant and able to produce engineering geology report.
• Project management and coordinating.
• Operate geological software to perform resource assessment works.
• Operate geotechnical software to perform stability analysis works.
• Development of digital data collection and database system for geology.
• Assist in addressing environmental geology related matter.
• Provide geological support and attend Independent Review Panel (IRP) or any other external meeting.

THINKING ENVIRONMENT & CHALLENGES (PROBLEM-SOLVING):

• Carried out industry standard geology works including drilling, mapping, geotechnical investigation and resource reporting.
• Ability to work with numerous sets of geological data, perform validation, analysis and interpretation.
• Engagement with stakeholder and able to translate and apply geological knowledge to provide constructive input.
• To work in remote area.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE (KNOW-HOW):

• Bsc (Hons) in Geology.
• Registered with Board of Geologist Malaysia.
• At least 5 years of related experience in engineering geology.
