Job Description

Provide support to the Project Director in cost management of projects Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner, meeting and corresponding with project stakeholders such as Clients, Consultants, Main Contractor, Sub-contractor, Suppliers to form a strong working relationship in true partnership as and when required Overseeing timely progress claims, VO claims, and accurate payment certificates. Managing all aspects of contract initiation and execution effectively. Co-ordinates the procurement of materials and suppliers for the projects and ensuring expenses within budget. Ensuring competitive bids, accurate price estimations, and detailed Bill of Quantities (BQ). Verifying subcontractor submissions for compliance with scopes and budgets. Prepares BQ which involves quantity take-off, materials sourcing, measuring and estimating material and labour costs used in the tendering process. Coordinate with contractors on the contract requirements prior to commencement of work. Identifying gaps between BQ and drawings, specifications and conditions of the contract and taking it for a logical closure. Ensure all filing and documentation comply with the department operation and ISO procedures. Collaborating with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to achieve cost-efficient agreements.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying. More than 5 Year(s) of working experience with Main Contractor. Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports. In-depth understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and industry. Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions Initiative, able to work in team, willing to learn and work independently. Good communication, self-motivated and interpersonal skill. Able to work in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking.
