Position Summary Responsible for supporting customers during the complete life cycle of the equipment. This assistance may be to identify and correct hardware or software discrepancies, project management, programming, installation, application, maintenance, start-up, training and diagnostics. Functional \xef\x82\xb7 Accountable for assigned projects/ assignment and ensure the realization in terms of scope, timeline, cost and customer satisfaction as per project requirement. \xef\x82\xb7 Provide technical assistance and field service to customers by performing one or more of the following: o Engineering assistance application, programming specifications, etc. o Field service installation start-up integration, system optimization and maintenance. o Troubleshooting of hardware and software problems at customer site. \xef\x82\xb7 Provide customer coordination of the products and systems by performing the following functions: o On-site analysis and specification preparation. o Hardware configuration \xe2\x80\x93 system and product application. o Programming assistance. o Project coordination between customer, etc. o Technical support \xe2\x80\x93 field start-up, integration and maintenance. o Documentation. o Testing and acceptance. \xef\x82\xb7 Provide proper reporting of technical, administrative and accounting information as required. \xef\x82\xb7 Provide technical assistance to sales and customer personnel on product applications to include alternatives, recommendations, explanations, surveys, etc. to meet the customer\xe2\x80\x99s requirements. \xef\x82\xb7 Assist in training customers in the application, operation, adjustment and proper maintenance of equipment. \xef\x82\xb7 Provide feedback concerning safety and liability issues as it relates to the application of products. \xef\x82\xb7 Maintains assigned equipment to insure good operating conditions and calibration. \xef\x82\xb7 Ensure thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately apply policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. \xef\x82\xb7 Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental). \xef\x82\xb7 Other duties to be assigned by Immediate Supervisor. Interpersonal \xef\x82\xb7 Build up and Maintain good relationships with the customers. \xef\x82\xb7 Mentoring and sharing experience to team in technical topic. Experience: \xef\x82\xb7 Minimum of three years field support experience utilizing programmable controllers (PLC), numerical controls, computers or motor controls, Servo Application and drives industrial automation control systems. \xef\x82\xb7 Experience in ABB, Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC control system, Servo System, Frequency Inverter and SCADA System Education: \xef\x82\xb7 Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering or equivalent and/or registration as a professional engineer. Personal Attributes \xef\x82\xb7 Customer-oriented, committed and a team-player. \xef\x82\xb7 Willing to travel within Malaysia and Southeast Asia where necessary.
