The opportunity EY requires a professional who will take responsibility for driving and supporting our Operational Excellence agenda and work to implement various Operations and Finance-related initiatives in ASEAN Consulting, where you will work with and interact across different market segments and teams within EY, covering ASEAN, Oceania, Greater China,Korea, Japan and Financial Service Organistaion (FSO). You will have the opportunity to build relationships, drive initiatives and shape solutions across our ASEAN Consulting business, understand the markets and issues, and collaborate with other teams not only within ASEAN Consulting but beyond.
The position will report to the ASEAN Consulting Operations Leader and the key stakeholders will be the ASEAN Consulting Leader, ASEAN Consulting Markets Leaders, ASEAN Consulting Sub-Service Line Leaders, Consulting Market Segment Leaders, Consulting Sector Leaders in ASEAN and Asean Consulting Talent Leader. The role requires close interactions with Service Line support Finance teams, Market Operations Team, Resourcing team and Quality and Risk Management Team.
Your key responsibilities In the role as the ASEAN Consulting Operations Associate, you will be expected to:

• 
  Work with and closely support the ASEAN Consulting Operations Leader in a range of operational and finance initiatives and activities around the following themes:

• Transparent and action-oriented business reporting (periodical reporting including monthly and weekly performance reports, sold backlog, accounts, solutions reporting);
• Improving pricing, margins and mitigating financial risk exposure through review of large deal budgets as part of the Asean Consulting Deal Governance Process
• Manage financial risk exposure as part of the quarterly Asean Consulting Delivery Board Review
• Maximising resource productivity;
• Improving financial discipline, cost control and transparency

• Work with the ASEAN Consulting Operations Leader to develop and execute other strategic and operational initiatives to drive end to end business performance improvements
• Work with the ASEAN Consulting Operations Leader to drive activities in support of our ASEAN Consulting Execution Plan pillars around Accounts and markets, multi-disciplinary solutions and teams, innovation, acquisitions and managed services, and operational excellence.
• Work with the ASEAN Consulting Operations Leader for the yearly planning process and half-year forecast exercise
• Work with the ASEAN Consulting Operations Leader to drive and monitor compliance around operational hygiene areas to meet internal business requirements
• Assist to oversee regular performance and dashboard reporting for ASEAN Consulting performance and assist to establish and maintain a robust reporting process, and ensure commentaries are insightful, timely, forward looking and action oriented. This involves liaising with colleagues from different functions across ASEAN for input and action
• Analyze, articulate and monitor operational performance issues. Investigate anomalies and coordinate with leaders for the information required, escalate issues, assist in providing insight and solutions
• Work with the ASEAN Consulting Operations Leader to prepare management materials, analyses and narratives e.g. for Area, Executive or Regional Leadership Team meetings
• Provide communications support for the ASEAN Operations leader, e.g. assist in drafting key messages, liasing with communications functions in EY and across our Consulting Market Segments.
• Provide support to ASEAN Consulting Leader and ASEAN Operations Leader for any special projects and initiatives that are rolled out from time-to-time by EY Global Consulting, EY APAC Consulting and EY ASEAN Region

In all of the above you will be expected to build and maintian relationships and work with the various stakeholders from across ASEAN and APAC to organize, coordinate and manage work progress.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Bachelor\'s degree with at least 3 years of working experience, preferably in consulting and industry
• Experience in an operations-related, business management or control function preferred

• Strong people management skills and able to work/ manage different stakeholders
• Attention to detail and ability to analyze problems, design and implement solutions independently.
• Self-starter; able to work with limited supervision, to juggle conflicting demands and to prioritize work effectively
• A committed team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, able to articulate clear and logical messages
• Strong organizational skills, able to work across and project manage multiple-initiatives at a time

• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and liaise with colleagues in both business and technical roles
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Ideally, you\xe2\x80\x99ll also have

• Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills \xe2\x80\x93 e.g. Pivot, vlook ups and ability to manipulate and draw trends from vast amounts of data
• Data analytics skills such as PowerBI will be preferred
