JOB SUMMARY

To effectively manage and coordinate all activities related to the New Business Pricing or Quarterly Pricing process. To ensure that incoming quote packages and outgoing costed BOMs or pricing files are being analyzed and managed for timeliness, completeness, and competitiveness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate leadership skills that provide both our internal & external customers an unparallel level of service and costing solutions.
\xc2\xb7 Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results
\xc2\xb7 Solicit ongoing feedback from Supply Chain & Business Development on elements that would allow us to become more efficient and cost effective.
\xc2\xb7 Effective management of support infrastructure for Quarterly Pricing or New Business activities
\xc2\xb7 Contribution towards both the development and deployment of Costing tool sets
\xc2\xb7 Maintain weekly communication forums with all direct and indirect team members supporting initiatives
\xc2\xb7 Regularly communicate activities and related deliverables.
\xc2\xb7 Organize verbal and written ideas clearly and use an appropriate business style.
\xc2\xb7 Actively promote best practices across the costing organization
\xc2\xb7 Actively involve Global, Sector, and BU resources that will allow us to drive the optimal solution
\xc2\xb7 Understand the Corporation/Sectors and the BU\xe2\x80\x99s strategic direction
\xc2\xb7 Become an expert in a defined space (understand Customers, Products, Key Commodities, Market Conditions, etc, that are imperative to the business)
\xc2\xb7 Provide regular updates to Senior Costing Mgr and relative SCM team members
\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate expertise in quoting materials and the appropriate tool sets
\xc2\xb7 Support New Customer, Existing Customer, and New Design Material Quotation activities
\xc2\xb7 Review quotes and strategy with Commodity Management, Sector Technical Experts, etc, when making sourcing decisions to ensure the best possible outcome.
\xc2\xb7 Drive the development of the optimal Cost solution into our Sector & Global Commodity experts.
\xc2\xb7 Market Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s Supply Chain Management expertise both internally and externally
\xc2\xb7 Develop effective relationships with Business Unit Management to ensure that Supply Chain is fully involved with new business and quarterly pricing activities.
\xc2\xb7 Offer new, innovative and entrepreneurial ideas and suggestions for improvement. Identify and implement new practices and processes that are \xe2\x80\x9cbest in field.\xe2\x80\x9d
\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet, and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer issues a priority.
\xc2\xb7 Ensure the efficient and timely exchange of knowledge and information within the Jabil Corporation to ensure best practices are shared throughout the Jabil organization.

Role Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Costing Manager - New Business

\xc2\xb7 Support New Customer, Existing Customer, and New Design Material Quotation activities
\xc2\xb7 Maximize use and ensure cost competitiveness from the Global Quotes resource via regular communication and effective collaboration.

\xc2\xb7 Thoroughly analyze RFQ data to ensure most competitive TCO quote package is provided to the requestor.

Costing Manager - Quarterly Pricing

\xc2\xb7 Support Existing Customer & New Design Material Quotation and Costing activities
\xc2\xb7 Set informed targets for Commodity Management\xe2\x80\x99s quarterly supplier negotiations, provide performance feedback and request explanation behind missed opportunities.
\xc2\xb7 Analyze and report materials price statistics for a specific BU.
\xc2\xb7 Manage all Customer pricing and ensure data is visible in Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s pricing tools.
\xc2\xb7 Negotiate or assign ownership for the negotiation of non Customer and non GCM Managed parts.
\xc2\xb7 Review and solution data integrity issues \xe2\x80\x93 ie costing fields, AML, sourcing owners etc.
\xc2\xb7 May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

\xc2\xb7 Supply Chain professional with an understanding of a pricing or quoting process
\xc2\xb7 Background in either electronic or mechanical material pricing
\xc2\xb7 Good communicator and contributor
\xc2\xb7 Ability to drive multiple on-going tasks to completion
\xc2\xb7 Drive continuous tool and process improvement
\xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
\xc2\xb7 Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company\xe2\x80\x99s business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
\xc2\xb7 Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
\xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
\xc2\xb7 Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
\xc2\xb7 Strong and convincing communication skills.

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s Degree required.
\xc2\xb7 Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or equivalent discipline preferred.
\xc2\xb7 Minimum of three (3) years work related experience, preferably in electronics or mechanical procurement/supply chain
\xc2\xb7 An APICS or NAPM certification
\xc2\xb7 Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
