About Role

As a Country Accountant in our new APAC Global Business Services (GBS), you will have the opportunity to play a role in defining and supporting our future as well as being part of a new and exciting team. Partnering with our Country and Regional Business Leaders you will ensure the delivery of all accounting and reporting processes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Performing accounting and reporting tasks in line with defined processes, standard operating procedures, and work instructions

Executing period end tasks for assigned entity(ies), including reconciliations, clearing of accounts, and reporting actuals

Support migration projects from other finance functions to APAC GBS

Proactively identify and lead improvement initiatives to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes

Support cross process and cross function to achieve overall objective for Convatec GBS

Drive the resolution of more complex queries

Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders

In this role you will be collaborating with various stakeholders across the business including our GBS teams in Lisbon and Bogota, corporate and market teams as well as external parties such as auditors and authorities.

Our APAC GBS supports a hybrid working approach. You will be supporting markets in multiple time zones and some flexibility around working hours will be needed.

You will be joining a newly formed Global Business Services team, with opportunities to grow, within Record to Report or wider finance functions.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

A minimum 6+ years accounting and reporting experience

Demonstrated working knowledge of IFRS and local reporting standards

Proven experience in Tax (Direct and Indirect) and compliance

Proficiency in accounting systems including SAP (preferred) and MS Office

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

A positive attitude towards challenges and problem solving able to work with ambiguity and with limited guidance

Excellent organizational and time management able to work to tight deadlines and with switching priorities

A customer-first mindset to fit with our \xe2\x80\x9cforever caring\xe2\x80\x9d brand

Language:

Good written and spoken English is essential

A proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Korean and/or Thai as well as other Asian languages will be an advantage

Qualifications/Education:

Management, Accounting, or any other Finance Degree
