: General information: Contribute to improving Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance in the respective organization to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on the environment. Support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge to offer solutions and advice. Facilitate delivery of support from the Center of Expertise (CoE) and ensure effective risk management through HSE excellence along Hitachi Energy\'s value chain.
Responsibilities: Metrics: Report HSE incidents, feedback on lessons learned and best practice from own unit and across Hitachi Energy to management and employees. Reports progress on implementation of sustainability objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to Hitachi Energy Group, as required. Regulatory compliance: Implement policies and standards, ensure area of responsibility is audited according to program for audit and assist line managers and supervisors in understanding obligations, liability and how to fulfil their roles, according to local HSE law and policy, instructions and standards. Risk management: Facilitate HSE risks assessment by line management involving project management, site management team, contractors\' employees and workmen, i.e. those directly concerned by the hazards, and ensure all processes are implemented. Conduct and lead the basic concepts such like risk assessment and environmental aspects & impact assessment. Continuous improvement: Drive behavioral change through implementing Group-wide performance improvement, ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on environment throughout the respective organization. Communication and engagement: Engage external (e.g. customers, suppliers and other stakeholders) and internal stakeholders in order to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment on Hitachi Energy\'s HSE efforts and performance and obtain objective feedback, cooperate with other functions, the CoE and business partners to drive HSE performance. Coach and guide all levels of management, supervisor and employee at site levels & office to establish the safety culture, prevention activities and collaborative approach. Identify, plans and initiate training needs for Hitachi Energy\'s employees and contractors\' staff when required. Operational support: Ensure appropriate safety equipment and tools are available and used, identify, plans and initiate training need, e.g. for employees, site managers, and agree with, and ensure delivery of training from the CoE. Drive and ensure compliance with Group management systems (e.g. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001), participate the incident prevention program, workshop session and incident investigation and analysis studies and engage on pre tendering safety documents as per customer requirements & involve on risk review at tendering stage. Participate on contractor HSE assessment & evaluation on selection stage, conduct safety briefing regarding requirements to potential contractors & how to ensure. Project management: Contribute to and/or plans and executes HSE, Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility (CR) related projects, develop and reports on project objectives and manage project resources such as manpower, financials and other relevant factors. Conduct and lead the basic concepts such like risk assessment and environmental aspects & impact assessment and participate the internal and external audit of safety management system. DOSH Legal Compliance: Good knowledge in related laws and regulation requirements such as OSH Act 1994, Environmental Act and BOMBA SOP.
Your background: Bachelor\'s Degree or Diploma in electrical/ mechanical/ environmental engineering/Health & Safety. Full time Safety course, NEBOSH will be preferred. Certified and Valid DOSH Green Book holder. 8-10 years working on HSE field (Preferable to work on substation business with electrical engineering background). Knowledge about workplace risk assessment methodologies and techniques and proficient in Microsoft office applications. Good communications skills both verbally and written in English and Bahasa Melayu.
