The Country Manager role is responsible for leading, managing and developing the business in the market to achieve and outperform its strategic goals and financial objectives through the delivery of our company purpose and Blueprint. The CM will play a pivotal role in representing Pfizer before the governments and healthcare stakeholders to work proactively to influence the internal and external environment in accordance with Pfizer\xe2\x80\x99s core values and global strategies. CM will also shape and lead Pfizer to be a trusted organization, always acting with integrity.

The role will report to EMA Regional President. The CM will also play an active role as part of the regional leadership team shaping the culture, performance outcomes and aspirations of this region.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

The key responsibilities in this role include:

Commercial Excellence

  • Setting the strategy to continue to evolve the go-to-market/business model
  • Set the commercial and go-to-market strategy to support faster access for patients to our medicines, deliver business growth through new launches and patient impact with risks assessed and mitigation plans developed.
  • Lead the improvement of scale and speed of access to our medicines and vaccines through government and medical stakeholder management and development of innovative approaches
  • Develop compelling patients and customer centric strategy in the short and long-term to transform the way we engage patients, physicians, and other stakeholders. Rigorously use data to measure our progress.
  • Continue delivering the Go to Market transformation plan to achieve the targeted business growth and efficiency through outstanding customer experience and improved ROI in line with Blueprint
  • Lead the transformation of our marketing teams to build leading skills and knowledge
P&L Accountability
  • Managing portfolio and delivering profitable growth
  • Maximize country revenue and IBT performance through rigorous P&L management and by mitigating legal and compliance risks. Lead capital allocation decision making.
  • Define and manage an ambitious forecast and supply plan to manage life cycle
  • Manage broad country accountabilities with the ability to solve any issues of safety, quality, supply chain and manufacturing
  • Optimize the performance of portfolio, making decisions on country operations and developing short/long-term product strategies to reach more patients and deliver value
Lifecycle Management
  • Manage a portfolio with different product lifecycle stages
  • Develop pipeline assets to ensure industry leading launch and access to deliver peak utilization within 3 years
  • Ensure local needs of pipeline are communicated to global development teams to accelerate launches through effective cross functional team leadership
  • Drive a profitable market portfolio and prioritization including innovation for in-line asset development
External Ambassador
  • Lead the conversation to positively shape the external environment and build trust
  • Set the country agenda for leading the external conversation, dedicating necessary efforts and leveraging the right resources to ensure Pfizer becomes the most trusted healthcare company
  • Influence and anticipate the market evolution, competitive landscape and monitoring legal, regulatory enforcement landscape
  • Influence and build trust /productive partnerships with governments, regulatory agencies, pharma industry associations, and/or KOLs
  • Always represent and ensure Pfizer\xe2\x80\x99s commitment to integrity and compliance
Internal Ambassador
  • Lead and partner with others to bring value to our patients.
  • Build a wide network of relationships and resources to bring the best value to others (country, region, and HQ) to ensure that goals are met for Malaysia and Brunei Markets.
  • Continue building best-in-class Talent Development and Growth Mindset behaviors in the organization.
  • Drive effectiveness of the GLocal model by leveraging the principle of co-creation and by holding others accountable to deliver 6x marketing ROI on investment.
  • Balance different needs and empower others to make short and long-term decisions for the right allocation of resources.
