Job Description


We are hiring for an experienced Credit Control Manager to manage AR Strategies and processes to maximise collection aging targets and Days Sales Outstanding. (DSO). Yor role requires you to lead, coach, and grow the Credit Control team. To be successful as a credit controller, you must have a keen eye for detail and the capacity to balance intricate corporate accounting. Ultimately, a superior credit controller may optimize corporate profitability by managing its obligations efficiently. Overall, Credit Control Manager plays a critical role in maintaining a healthy cash flow for the company and minimizing the risk of bad debts. They work closely with other departments such as finance, sales, and customer service to achieve these objectives. Responsibilities: Credit Assessment: The manager assesses the creditworthiness of new and existing customers to determine the appropriate credit limit to set and to monitor credit risk exposure. Collection Strategy: Develops and implements collection strategies to recover outstanding debts from customers. This involves monitoring customer accounts, setting up payment plans, negotiating with customers, and managing collections staff. Cash Flow Management: Ensures that the company has sufficient cash flow by managing the accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, receipting, reconciling accounts, and managing cash flow forecasts. Reporting: The manager prepares regular reports on the status of accounts receivable, including overdue accounts, credit risk exposure, and collections activity. Policies and Procedures: Develops and implements credit control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Commerce, finance, accounting, or mathematics. Comes with min 10 years\' experience with 3 years people manager experience Previous work experience as a credit controller. Good understanding of the legal complexities of loans, payment plans, and interest rates. Proficient in Accounting and Office software. Good communication and presentation skills as your role requires you to work with different stakeholders internally and externally Strong influencing and leadership skills. Able to work with tight deadlines and critical situations. An eye for details and carries a strong conflict resolution mindset. Only Shortlisted Candidates will be contacted.
