About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing commercial portfolios (companies/ non-individuals) including evaluating their loan applications, conducting credit reviews, marketing and cross-selling a wide range of banking products and services
• Monitor overall facility utilisation and profitability of the assigned portfolio
• Build rapport and develop meaningful networking to maintain account relationships with both existing and prospective clients
• Build client loyalty by establishing a trusted advisor relationship with the objective of becoming clients\xe2\x80\x99 \xe2\x80\x9cTrusted Main Banker\xe2\x80\x9d
• Identify clients\xe2\x80\x99 needs and capture new financing and / or cross selling opportunities; negotiate for best margins to optimise profitability
• Deliver both in terms of speed and quality for all KPIs assigned
• Ensure accuracy on customer due diligence (\xe2\x80\x9cCDD\xe2\x80\x9d) and Know Your Customer (\xe2\x80\x9cKYC\xe2\x80\x9d)
• To keep abreast of clients\xe2\x80\x99 business activities ie. Be quick to identify new opportunities / inherent market risk, if any

Job Requirements

• Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply or anyone with less than 2 years working experiences
• Possess a recognised degree or Diploma / Bachelor\'s degree, in any field, from an accredited university/colleges
• Proactive, has good communication skill and a highly motivated self-starter
• Has a strong interest in financial planning, investment, client management and keen to work in a sales driven environment
• Strong business acumen, proactive and a highly motivated self-starter
• Positive attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent team work/spirit
• Candidates will be provided 3 months intensive training during this training programme
• Willing to travel and be relocated within UOB Group, if need be
