Chief Technology Officer

This company operates a B2B e-commerce platform that uses proprietary digital money (NOT cryptocurrency), to benefit the SME businesses and community. The operations are in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, UK, and Costa Rica.

They are looking for an exceptionally capable CTO who will form part of the executive leadership team. This role will be responsible for leading the technology strategy, architecture, development, and operations of the platform. This role will work closely with the management team to ensure that the technology infrastructure and assets support the company\'s goals and objectives, and that the company continues to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of customers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the company\'s technology strategy and roadmap, aligned with the business goals and objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the IT team, ensuring that they are aligned with the technology strategy.
• Oversee the architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the platform.
• Ensure that the platform is scalable, secure, and meets the performance and reliability requirements of customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize new features, enhancements, and improvements to the platform.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve the development process and enhance the platform\'s capabilities.
• Manage the technology budget and ensure that it is aligned with the company\'s financial goals and objectives.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and ensure that the company is using the most suitable technologies and IT practices.

• 10+ years of experience in information technology, with a focus on building large-scale systems.
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing and mentoring IT teams.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of web technologies, including front-end and back-end development frameworks, databases, and cloud platforms.
• Experience in building and operating e-commerce platforms or marketplaces is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies.
