Job Description


Job Responsibility Facilitate communication between individuals with language barriers by providing language interpretation services. Handle telephone or video calls promptly and interpret conversations between speakers of Cantonese/Mandarin and English in consecutive mode. Process information efficiently, recognizing cultural differences, and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor. Utilize appropriate industry terminology and have a good understanding of common procedures and practices. Interpret calls that may involve simple or complex, non-technical or technical subjects in various industries such as healthcare, government, insurance, finance, utilities, travel and hospitality, 911 emergency services, law enforcement, courts, and general business. Job Requirements Strong listening, note-taking, and retention abilities to ensure accuracy in communication. Capacity to concentrate, remain neutral, and stay objective during conversations. Quick establishment of personal credibility. Close adherence to client instructions. Capability to explain cultural concepts when necessary to avoid misunderstandings. Bilingual proficiency in English (C2 CEFR level) with either Mandarin or Cantonese.
