Responsibilities:

  • Conversant with the operation of Vertiv manufactured products
  • Have a great understanding of 3rd party equipment currently covered by Vertiv service contracts
  • Attend any required breakdown and any subsequent repair visit
  • Performing daily operations, routine works, servicing, data collection, troubleshooting and assignment to ensure heating, ventilation & air conditioning (HVAC) system in data center and exchange building were maintain in efficient manner. Undertake equipment upgrades including software
  • Participation in the Emergency on-call rotation
  • Capable of working independently based upon training with supervision as required during stages of progression
  • Cover varying locations within Peninsula Malaysia and Borneo.
  • Working away from home for a full week at a time may be required, weekend working will also be required 7 X 24 Field Service availability when assigned.
  • Regularly assume site person in charge responsibilities for Vertiv service work
  • Resolve complex and persistent situations with Vertiv equipment on customer sites
  • There are five main parts that make up this role: TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SAFETY ASPECTS, ADMINISTRATION, CUSTOMER SATISFACTION and PERFORMANCE a balance to these five will be an important aspect of the role.
  • Excellent Customer interaction skills with ability to interface with all functional areas of the company. Strong communication skills be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner with internal and external customers via telephone or person or in writing. Must have a professional demeanor in all communications.
Requirements:
  • Computer Literate.
  • Possesses Diploma, Advance/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or equivalents.
  • Previous experience in this role
  • Must possess attitude with punctuality & communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills, presentable and professional at all time.
  • Self-starter, ability to plan effectively, organize, and manage time effectively
  • Full valid driving license, GDL will be adding advantage
  • Strong bias on fault finding
  • Customer service - in potentially stressful situations
  • Working with safety procedures and protocols
  • Mechanical and Electronic/Electrical aptitude
