Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily customs clearance operations to ensure smooth and timely import and export processes.
Serve as the main liaison with clients, customs officers, and relevant regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance with local and international trade requirements.
Review, verify, and oversee the submission of all customs-related documentation, including permits, tariff classifications, and declarations.
Supervise and mentor a small documentation team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines.
Troubleshoot and resolve customs issues, discrepancies, or clearance delays to prevent operational disruption.
Maintain strong working relationships with port authorities, airport representatives, and shipping agents to expedite clearance processes.
Monitor updates to customs laws, procedures, and tariff regulations; ensure company processes adapt accordingly.
Provide guidance to internal teams and clients on customs-related matters to enhance operational effectiveness.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, or related logistics operations.
Strong knowledge of customs procedures, import/export regulations, and documentation workflows.
Proven leadership capabilities with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage time-sensitive tasks.
Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
Remuneration & Benefits
Basic Salary:
RM 4,500 - RM 5,000
