Customs Declaration Officer

Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit

import/export

declarations, permits, and other required documents to customs authorities. Ensure

full compliance with customs procedures

, regulations, and documentation requirements -- including tariff codes, licenses, and other applicable laws. Declare shipments under special schemes such as

MIDA (Malaysian Investment Development Authority), SST (Sales and Service Tax)

, and

FTA (Free Trade Agreement)

as per regulatory requirements. Coordinate closely with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and internal teams to facilitate timely shipment clearance. Track the status of shipments and provide timely updates to relevant departments and stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of all customs-related transactions and documentation for auditing and compliance purposes. Investigate and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the clearance process.

Requirements:

Minimum

2 -3 years of relevannt expereince

in customs declaration within the logistics or freight forwarding industry. Strong knowledge of Malaysian customs regulations and experience handling decarations under MIDS, SST and FTA Familiar with customs systms (eg Dagangnet) and import/export documentation Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environment. Good communication and coordination skills. Willing to work in Bandar Botanik, Port Klang
