Job Description



The Role The Cyber Security executive will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of organizational data, systems, and networks by implementing and maintaining effective cyber security measures and strategies. This role is responsible for protecting company\xe2\x80\x99s information systems and data from cyber-attacks. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to cyber security threats, performing daily vulnerability management, managing company\xe2\x80\x99s cyber security systems, and ensuring user equipment and company systems are up to date with cyber security updates.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cyber security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect the organization\xe2\x80\x99s information assets.
  • Respond to cyber security threats and incidents, including triage, analysis, and remediation.
  • Perform daily vulnerability management activities such as scanning, prioritization, and remediation.
  • Manage the company\xe2\x80\x99s cyber security systems including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and antivirus software.
  • Ensure user equipment and company systems are up to date with cyber security updates and patches.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on security best practices.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of security policies and procedures to protect the company\xe2\x80\x99s IT systems and data.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of the company\xe2\x80\x99s IT systems.
  • Prepare and presenting reports on the company\xe2\x80\x99s security posture to senior management.
  • Liaise with contractors and other professional staff during IT projects implementation and 3rd party integration in relation to Cyber Security aspects.
  • Analyze Incidents, response and restoration reports as per Company\xe2\x80\x99s Incident Management Policy.
  • Suggest service maintenance improvement based on finding.
  • Contribute to budget (CAPEX/OPEX) planning process in terms of Cyber Security hardware, software, or licenses.
  • Follow Company\xe2\x80\x99s IT and Data Centre policies.
  • Achieve targets set by line manager within guidelines established by the IT manager.

Requirements
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in cyber security.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and PCI DSS.
  • Familiarity with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential security threats and respond to security incidents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours when required.
  • Understanding of security protocols and firewalls to prevent unauthorized access to the network.
  • Knowledge of the IP networking, TCP/IP protocols.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to cyber security, such as GDPR and HIPAA.
  • Certifications such as Security+ or Network+ are preferred.
  • Able to start work immediately.
