Job Description

The Data Analyst Intern will support KK Super Mart's business analytics function by assisting in data analysis and reporting activities that contribute to business insights and operational improvements. This internship provides hands-on exposure to retail data analytics, cloud-based data platforms, and cross-functional collaboration. The intern will work under the guidance of senior analysts and managers, gaining practical experience in translating data into meaningful business insights.

Responsibilities

Assist senior data analysts in analyzing sales performance, product mix, pricing, promotions, and demand trends. Support data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and basic analysis from multiple data sources, including POS systems and inventory databases. Help prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate analytical findings to internal stakeholders. Assist in translating data findings into simple, actionable insights for business discussions. Work closely with purchasing, operations, supply chain, and other teams to support ongoing analytical tasks. Support the maintenance of data accuracy and assist in identifying data quality issues. Learn and assist in using cloud-based data platforms such as AWS (e.g., Redshift, S3) and analytical tools under supervision. Handle ad-hoc analysis requests and provide support for ongoing projects as assigned by senior team members. Perform administrative and documentation tasks related to data analytics projects when required.

Education & Requirements

Currently pursuing a Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Basic knowledge of data analysis concepts, statistics, or business analytics. Familiarity with Python, SQL, or data analysis tools is an added advantage. Interest in retail, FMCG, or consumer business analytics. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
