As an operational arm of GBS Data Office, the Data Management Team (DMT) is responsible for data maintenance in the systems of record within Finance. This covers the creating, amending, and blocking of core master data objects to support our business processes and reporting solution. The team is offering global support across geographies to response to requests and to process them in a timely manner and efficient way.As a successful role holder, you will be supporting the master data operations in Data Management Team Kuala Lumpur operations to ensure data maintained is accurate, complete, and up-to-date in supporting smooth business operations. This role reports directly to Master Data Team Lead/Manager. In Data Management Team, we manage approximately 20 different dictionaries, for 170 AstraZeneca subsidiaries in 5 SAP instances. Each month we manage around 100,000 transactions on data of vendors, customers, credit limits, cost elements and alike.Main ResponsibilitiesSupport Team manager on performance of the Data Management Team on assigned master data area i.e., finance data to achieve efficient processing and effective team working.Monitor daily services delivery including managing priorities.Maintain acceptable service levels according to SLA and escalate for unusual circumstance which require special handling.Review the KPI metrics related to the function and provide commentaries and root cause analysis where required for further discussion with the Global Data ManagerTake the lead in issue resolution on BAU operational matters.Take lead in process improvement and productivity initiatives. These include updating and reviewing DMT process documentation.To participate and support on sub project groups based on the initiative driven by tower lead.Support and enabling people learning, development and career progression.Helps new joiners to successfully settle into their new role in their stream.Helps existing team member to be effective and undergo smooth transitioning across changes of process, tools, system, or even new structure of the team.Build and sustain effective engagement with local business to deliver performance and implement best practice.Ensure a high level of understanding of the local business requirements and implement and operate financial controls and governance to a standard that ensure SOX, Financial Controls Framework and Audit requirements are met.Essential RequirementsYou have a Degree in Business or any related field.You have a 3-5 years working experience in Account Payables/ Account Receivables/Record to Report or solid understanding of master data.Sound accounting fundamentals and data analysis knowledge.Proficient in the use of SAP system. Understanding SAP dictionaries especially: Chart of accounts, Cost Elements and Cost Objects. Added advantage if have understanding on Vendors, Customers and Bank branches.Good communication skill and able to communicate effectively in English.Knowledge in visual basic and macros is an added advantage.At AstraZeneca we\xe2\x80\x99re dedicated to being a Great Place to Work.
