Role: Data Quality Specialist Job Type: 12 months & Extendable Contract As soon as possible Job Location: Wisma Amfirst, Petaling Jaya, Selangor Experience: Min less than 4 years of experience in Data Management Only Local Malaysian preferred \xc2\xb7 Performing data profiling on large datasets to determine data quality and integrity \xc2\xb7 actively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders on quality issues about the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used. \xc2\xb7 Communicate the pervasiveness of data quality problems and their potential impacts and take the lead in resolving them via data integration and/or business process improvement. \xc2\xb7 Evaluating business processes and system design, as well as their effect on data quality. \xc2\xb7 Running data queries to improve data quality through data assessment, issue identification, investigation, and the recommendation of solutions \xc2\xb7 Gathering data from primary or secondary data sources to identify and interpret trends. \xc2\xb7 Reporting data analysis findings to management to inform business decisions and prioritize information system needs. \xc2\xb7 Prepare a report and keep track of the data quality improvement initiative. \xc2\xb7 Investigate, troubleshoot, and document data issues from internal and external users. \xc2\xb7 Manage documentation related to data quality (data standards, definitions, DQA documents such as checklists, guidelines, manuals, templates, forms, etc.). \xc2\xb7 Perform UAT on the data quality platform, tool, or solution. Requirements \xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, information management, or similar \xc2\xb7 A minimum of 5 years with data management, data quality management, data analysis, and emerging data trends and issues \xc2\xb7 Proficiency in data analysis skills, i.e., Structured Query Language (SQL) and familiarity with BI tool(s). \xc2\xb7 Exceptional analytical skills \xc2\xb7 Possess advanced problem-solving and data analysis skills. \xc2\xb7 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; enjoys collaborating with others. \xc2\xb7 Must be proactive and be able to drive the direction of work that needs to be completed. \xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently on initiatives with little oversight. \xc2\xb7 Motivated and willing to learn. \xc2\xb7 Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations \xc2\xb7 Good project and time management and teamwork skills. \xc2\xb7 Data warehouse knowledge or related project experience would be an advantage. \xc2\xb7 Prior working experience using a data quality solution (such as Talend or Informatica) and a data quality dashboard is preferred. \xc2\xb7 Detail oriented Job Type: Contract
