Job Description

As a Senior Data Engineer Specialist, you will manage Data and Analytics tracks to support the requirements of Data Lake or ERP Analytics applications. You will be part in all development pre- and post- phases; support architecture (ingestion, transformation, publication) and deliver enhancements. You will report to IT Manager, Data Analytics. You will work on hybrid mode, evening shift, based in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Key Responsibilities

Perform Data Lake technical solutions support and implementation, as defined by Data Analyst and validated by the Data Architect.

Perform technical configuration aspects including data ingestion and integration frameworks.

Collaborate with Data Analysts and Data Scientists to develop optimized data models, pipelines and frameworks

Build new or enhance existing data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and load from data sources, using different possible languages and technologies.

Identify, design, and implement technical improvements including evaluating and deploying new architecture for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes. Perform trouble shoot on issues.

Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability. Explain ideas / designs to team in several areas and of technical understanding, and monitor to ensure product delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor\'s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.

8 years\' validated ability, with ETL/ELT workflow experience in design, configuration, data mapping, extraction, transformation and loading and writing code and maintaining it.

6 years\' experience of technical expertise with data models, data mining, segmentation technics, data/systems analysis and development

Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C++, Scala, Python, SQL and NoSQL.

Experienced in systems and process orientation and preparing technical report.
