Get to know our Team
The People Analytics (PAN) Team covers the unique convergence of analytical reasoning, deep technical skills and soft sciences of human behaviour and organisational psychology. We are interested in the application of analytical methods to quantify, diagnose and elevate real-world problem solving with data-driven insights, in support of building a world-class, high performing people culture at Grab. The PAN team directly engages with cross-functional stakeholders across People Operations (human resources,
business and functional teams, and senior leadership. We cover a wide span of organisational and people subjects including but not limited to recruitment, engagement, culture, performance, growth, and departures.
Get to know the Role
You will be working closely with teams across People Operations, business and functional groups, and senior leaders to:
Understand and contextualise real-world problems.
Define people metrics and shape our data language used to describe and measure people and organisational success.
The Day-to-Day Activities
Monitor key metrics with effective use of data visualisations via tools like PowerBI and processing complex raw data via SQL/Python to enable coherent visibility.
Perform descriptive and exploratory analytics on historical data; employ appropriate statistical methods to discern conclusive patterns versus random noise.
Apply causal techniques to infer and understand cause-and-effect relationships between variables.
Leverage on predictive analytics to build forward looking mechanisms.
Communicate data insights and recommendations effectively, with ability to explain technical and complex methods to build stakeholder confidence in findings.
The Must-Haves
Bachelor degree in a quantitative field, including but not limited to Computer Science, Information
Systems, Mathematics, Data Science, Analytics, Economics or Social Research.
0 to 3 years of experience in data-centric or quantitative roles. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
Strong working knowledge in Statistics, SQL and Python. Enjoy working with large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
Strong data visualisation and storytelling skills. Experience in creating dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI or other visualisation tools is a plus.
Interested in or familiar with psychology, behavioural science, and/or HR fields.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Passionate about problem solving and working with people.
Self-Starter: Ability to work independently and drive own projects.
