Job Summary

The Data Scientist is responsible for applying

statistical analysis, machine learning, and data modeling techniques

to extract insights and build predictive solutions from large datasets. This role works closely with business, data engineering, and product teams to solve complex problems and drive data-driven decision-making.

Key ResponsibilitiesData Analysis & Modeling

Explore, analyze, and interpret large, complex datasets. Develop

predictive, classification, and clustering models

to support business use cases. Apply statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Machine Learning & Advanced Analytics

Build, evaluate, and deploy

machine learning models

. Perform feature engineering, model tuning, and validation. Monitor model performance and retrain models as needed.
Business Insights & Storytelling

Translate analytical findings into

clear insights and recommendations

. Present results to business stakeholders using data visualizations and narratives. Support decision-making through scenario analysis and forecasting.
Collaboration & Delivery

Work closely with

data engineers

to ensure data availability and quality. Collaborate with product, IT, and business teams to operationalize models. Support production deployment and post-implementation analysis.
Governance & Best Practices

Ensure models and analyses comply with

data governance, security, and regulatory standards

. Document assumptions, methodologies, and model behavior. Promote best practices in analytics and model development.
Technical Skills (Mandatory)

Programming

Python or R

Data & Analytics

Strong SQL Statistical analysis and hypothesis testing

Machine Learning

Supervised & unsupervised learning Model evaluation and validation techniques

Data Tools & Libraries

Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn Jupyter / notebooks
Nice to Have

Deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) Big data tools (Spark, Hadoop) Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) Experience in

Pay: RM3,318.70 - RM13,987.84 per month
