Job Description


Role Profile We currently have an entry level Data Analyst position in our Reference Data & Analytics team. This position will provide the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the global financial industry. The team will focus on collecting information related to reference data, corporate actions and events, dividends, shares data, shareholder information and details related to a company\'s revenue for globally listed securities in the Asia Pacific region. The analyst will work with sources from stock exchanges, third party vendors and company websites. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable with on-the-job training and able to pick up tasks quickly and effectively. The ability to work with peers, editors and your direct manager are key to being successful in this role. The team will work flexible shifts and holiday coverage is required for all major holidays. Key Responsibilities Become a subject matter expert on securities in terms of how they are listed and traded on various Asia Pacific stock exchanges. Understand the fundamentals of stock prices and fluctuations due to corporate actions. Become a subject matter expert on industry identifiers such as RIC, CUSIP, , SEDOL, ISIN, etc. in order to successfully track & add new securities coming to markets covered. Research, analyze & maintain daily corporate actions that transpire on Asia Pacific stock exchanges. Research & maintain shares outstanding data on listed issues and exchange traded funds. Research press releases, exchange bulletins, for payment related announcements. Monitor internet/company websites for anticipated corporate action events. Compile and analyze source documents including annual reports quarterly filings and IPO prospectuses for information related to revenue and shareholders. Ability to meet daily timeliness and quality standards established by the team. Key Skills Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university - Finance degree preferred Possess finance-related working experience - at least 1 year preferred Strong Research and Analytical skills High level of written and oral communication in the English language Self-motivated, team player who demonstrate ability to solve problems with minimal supervision Ability to work independently as well as prioritize work in order to meet team deadlines Good interpersonal skills Ability to successfully work with peers and editors in a team environment Some knowledge of the nature of the business, eagerness to learn & able to function in a fast pace environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Access skills are preferred At LSEG, we believe that creating a diverse and inclusive organisation is fundamental to the way we deliver on our promise of creating essential partnerships and open opportunities.
