JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Title: Tableau Data Visualization Developer Key Responsibilities: Responsible for delivery of reports and dashboards through business requirements, dashboard UI design, implementation activities, deployment, Tableau server administration and on-going support. Good communication skills as the role requires facilitation of dashboard requirements gathering workshops with business stakeholders. Perform deep dive analysis into areas of user needs to best understand the issues faced by business stakeholders. Gather, analyze and clearly document business requirements and operational scenarios. Have good understanding of the gaps between business expectations, Tableau capabilities and being able to bridge the gap. Evaluate, design UI, develop, and deploy reports and dashboards based on data visualization best practices. Manage business stakeholders' expectations to achieve customer satisfaction. Work closely with Application Developers to ensure reports and dashboards developed meet business expectations Collaborate with various teams in Group Technology & Data to ensure successful implementation of dashboards, enhancement on existing dashboards (Change Requests (CRs)), Tableau server administration and on-going support. Responsible for delivery of projects and CRs related to dashboards in timely manner. Ensure accuracy and completeness of reports and dashboards developed. Adhere to all applicable procedures, company policies, IT Standards, SDLC, and regulatory guidelines. Monitor incidents or issues on Tableau platform and take required steps to resolve the issues. Liaise with relevant technical teams to address technical issues such as firewall issues, network issues and server issues. Monitor Tableau platform performance, perform required performance tuning and advise whether capacity upgrade is required. Job Specification: Qualifications (Basic Degree/Diploma etc.): Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent. Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements: Tableau Certified Data Analyst. Having Tableau Desktop Specialist and/or Tableau Certified Server Associate certification is an advantage. Relevant Work Experience: Experience in Tableau product suite in terms of dashboard development & system administration Completed minimally 5 end-to-end Tableau implementations successfully. At least one of the implementations is based on banking industry. At least 7 to 9 years of experience on Tableau dashboard development, dashboard implementation, Tableau server administration, performance tuning & support. At least 7 to 9 years of SQL programming skills and adept in database technologies Required Competencies and Skills: Competencies/Skills: Technical/Functional skills: Good understanding in business analytics specifically relating to banking industry. Possess sound technical and implementation knowledge of Tableau product suite, data modelling & database technologies. Tableau Certified Data Analyst. Having Tableau Desktop Specialist and/or Tableau Certified Server Associate certification is an advantage. Proficient in Tableau dashboard UI design incorporating visualization best practices. Familiar with various project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project). Posses analytical and strategic with a track record of success in delivering results within a large complex organization. Personal skills (Soft Competencies [Core/Leadership]): Must have strong leadership and people management skills; ability to influence, organizational ability and time management. Embody the organisation culture and aligns and support of organisation vision and mission. Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills. Highly result oriented and can work independently. Demonstrates ability to build relationships and work well with peers from both business and technology stakeholders and interact effectively with internal and external parties. Ability to plan and prioritise work / projects in the team. Display good leadership qualities, high commitment and drive to complete the assignment.
