JOB TYPE: 12 Months Renewable contract ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for administering, developing, testing, and demonstrating databases. Perform various related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery, and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for the modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. Expected to perform independently and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME). Required to actively participate and contribute to team discussions and provide solutions to work-related problems Develop and implement innovative strategies to optimize database performance and ensure data integrity Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime Conduct regular database backups and implement disaster recovery plans Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in database administration REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
