Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



Responsible for implementation, configuration, and administration of VMware vSphere 6.7, 7.0 and VMware vSAN 6.7, 7.0.
Responsible for installation, configuration, and administration of windows servers 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019.
Responsible for windows servers' roles & features installation and configuration (AD, WSUS, Print Management and PKI).
Responsible for racking/stacking and configuration of server hardware platforms (HPE ProLiant, Dell PowerEdge and Cisco UCS).
Perform P2V and V2V using VMWare vCenter Converter and cross vCenter motion utility.
Mass migration of virtual servers across datacentres.
Responsible for performing maintenance activities in the datacentre as per the business requirements.
Responsible for implementing major IT infrastructure changes which contribute to the overall success of the proposed solution.
Active participation in bridge calls for severity-1 incidents.
Manage and coordinate with the 3rd party vendors on resolution of severity-1 incidents.
Liaise with IT security team on vulnerability mitigation.
Responsible for security patching of the IT infrastructure components.
Responsible for in-place upgrades of windows servers, RHEL and VMWare vSphere (ESXI, vCenter).
Responsible for backup and restore of virtual machines using HPE RMC-V, NetApp Snapcenter and HPE SimpliVity backup tool.
Responsible for tapes replacement and tape-vaulting.
Responsible for administration of HPE Primera Storage Systems.
Responsible for administration of HPE Synergy frames.
Responsible for administration of HPE SimpliVity.
Proactively identify process gaps and propose service improvements.
Ensure service-catalogue requests and incidents are closed within the agreed SLA time.
Proactively monitor the IT infrastructure components in the datacentre (servers, storage systems, SAN switches and enclosures).
Collaboration with other technical teams about the infrastructure updates relevant to major changes, incidents, and problem records.
Detailed root Cause Analysis report preparation for severity 1 & 2 incidents
Pro-actively identify risks in the IT infrastructure and propose/implement the mitigation/solution.
