As the Assistant Demand Planning Manager, you will be accountable for 3 Planners and will oversee the job scope below:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and analyse data for demand forecasting and inventory management, across the APAC region
  • Develop and maintain statistical models to forecast demand for assigned product categories
  • Analyse sales trends and adjust demand forecasts accordingly
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to meet customer demand while minimising excess inventory
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products
  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to ensure timely and accurate inventory replenishment
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in demand planning and inventory management
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to track performance against key performance indicators (KPIs)

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, supply chain management, statistics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in demand planning or a related field, preferably in a retail environment
  • Prior people management experience is an added advantage
  • Experience with statistical modelling and forecasting techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with demand planning software and ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or JDA, is a plus
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
