Demand Planning Internship 2024

Our Materials and Procurement team manages a group of indirect categories, such as real estate, marketing material, supplies or software. Our role also includes leading contract negotiations, managing risk, driving cost-saving initiatives and implementing strategic sourcing best practices.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll achieve
As an Intern Undergraduate, you will analyzes and influences the demand and supply position of peripheral commodity to optimize and drive Standard Leadtime and minimize E&O exposure, mainly focusing on demand changes, continuity of supply, transition and End of Life commodity management. You will partner with stakeholders to develop and executes commodity transition plan of the product life cycle and minimize customer delivery interruptions.

You will:

• Understand peripheral demand requirement for assigned category at the aggregate level to support all fulfilment models (BTS/BTO/BTP/CTO).
• Maintain Continuity of Supply (COS) for assigned peripheral to maintain standard lead time.
• Works supply imbalances, both excesses and shortages, with the cross functional group to mitigate the risk as quickly and cost effectively as possible.
• Recommend demand shaping opportunities, and work with regional demand planning team /PLM team to establish the demand shaping program.
• Governs demand consumption rates and provide early warning and mitigation options to supply issue.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor\'s Degree in data analytics, mathematics or any relevant background. Internship starts in Feb/Mar 2024
• Strong knowledge in demand supply/supply chain management: order management, fulfilment concepts and process, forecast planning and methodology, lead time and COS management.
• Excellent analytical skills, communication skills, problem solving and customer-orientated
• Ability to work through ambiguity to complete assigned tasks, think globally and collaborate with others.

Desirable Requirements

• Having the knowledge in using MS Office, visualisation tools (Power BI)
